I want to upgrade and go further in my refereeing career. What should I do first?Referees who are looking to move up in their refereeing career (i.e., to Regional Referee) should first contact David Rozek, the Utah State Director of Instruction (sdi@utahsrc.com). Please send him some information about yourself including the number of years you've been refereeing, recent tournaments that you have refereed, and any advanced education you have participated in. Additionally, if you have not looked at the Advanced Referee Trainings (ARTs) available or are not on the email list, please contact David Rozek, the Utah State Director of Instruction (sdi@utahsrc.com).

How do I become a regional referee?Becoming a regional referee is for referees who are looking towards a path to the National Referee badge. First, reach out to David Rozek, the Utah State Director of Instruction (sdi@utahsrc.com) for more information. Referees will need to go through the academy process in Utah (or equivalent) in order to start the upgrade process. Reach out for more information.

What are the evaluation requirements for upgrading to Regional Referee?Regional Referees are processed through the Utah Premier Referee Academy. Below are the requirements for after being accepted and participating in the academy. Please reach out to David Rozek, Utah State Director of Instruction (sdi@utahsrc.com) if you are not currently part of the academy. The Utah SRC requires the following: 1. Minimum of 3 passing evaluations as a referee 2. Two at adult amateur level & one at highest youth (18U or 19U) 3. Minimum of one passing evaluation as an assistant referee **Evaluations must be done by three different referee coaches. 4. Must pass physical fitness test
